Recipe of the Week

You know how I had two recipes all ready to go? Yeah, this isn't one of them. I've still got those two to add, and whatever else I make up before then. But with the theme of quesadillas and using up leftovers, here's something you can do with your leftover tortillas!

Mmmm! Enough of this healthy food! We had lunch, now it's time for dessert! (Although truth be told, I ate this for lunch). But hey, this makes the perfect dessert; if you're in the mood for something sweet but don't want to bake a whole pie or a whole batch of cookies, fry yourself up a personal dessert quesadilla.

Here are the ingredients I used:
To start with, I buttered one side of the tortilla and then sprinkled cinnamon sugar over the butter to give it a nice pie crust flavor. Or something like a churro you would get at a fair.
Then flip it over and coat the inside with Biscoff spread and chocolate chips. If you do not live in an area where Biscoff is available, I pity you. However, you can use peanut butter, Nutella, or the new Hershey's spread just as well. I bet fruit flavored jam would be delicious too! Anything you would find in a pie.
Once your filling has been fixed, fold it in half and fry it on the frying pan, just like your normal everyday quesadilla.

While you wait for the insides to get all melty and delicious, take some time to enjoy the sweet aroma of cinnamon that fills the air as you cook. Isn't cooking fun?

And yes, the insides do get all melty and delicious. So some may drip out while you eat, and your finger may become covered in a melted concoction of chocolate and cookie spread, but that's nothing to worry about, just lick it off!

For an added treat, serve it with a side of your favorite ice cream!
